The Co-Facilitators of the Intergovernmental Negotiations on the post-2015 development agenda have informed that the IGN will convene at 7 pm today. A revised outcome document will be circulated in the next half of an hour.
In light of this, there will be a MGoS coordination meeting at 5:30 p.m. in conference room 4.
Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 1:41PM In an extended session yesterday (Wednesday) morning, the intergovernmental body completed its review of the ‘draft outcome document for adoption’. The Co-facilitators then went away to revise the document and a new version will be available about 12 noon (EDT).
While Member States and groups are moving towards agreement on several issues, a number of key concerns will remain, which the Co-facilitators will hopefully be able to address in the new draft. These include:

Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 1:46PM The outcome of the Third International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD3), the Addis Ababa Action Agenda (AAAA) has been endorsed by the UN General Asselmby. Delegates in a plenary session adopted resolution A/69/L.82 tenitled ‘Addis Ababa Action Agenda of the Third International Conference on Financing for Development,' which includes the AAAA as an annex.
In the resolution, the UNGA recalls its resolution 68/204 on the follow-up to the International Conference on Financing for Development, in which it decided to convene FfD3, as well as resolutions 68/279 and 69/278 on the modalities for FfD3; endorses the AAAA adopted by the Conference; and expresses its “profound gratitude” to the Government and people of Ethiopia for hosting FfD3 and for providing support.
Monday, July 27, 2015 at 4:30PM As can be seen from the letter from the Co-facilitators, accompanying the revised draft of the outcome document for the UN Summit on the Post-2015 Development Agenda, they are discouraging general statements and keeping the “focus firmly fixed on textual work and on finalization of the draft document.” They also hope that group arrangements can be used to articulate the views of Member States on the draft.
There are still divergences in the positions taken by the various groups and with this in mind, we feel it is important that advocates are aware of the groups positions last week. Sunday, July 26, 2015 at 4:49PM During the discussions on the preamble and declaration, as can be seen in our posting No 9 (ADD LINK) many Member States made strong statements calling for the inclusion of sexual and reproductive health and rights. The statement below was made by Nigeria and is fully reported for reference purposes. It is interesting to note that in making this statement, Nigeria neither aligned itself with either the Group of 77 and China, nor with the Africa Group.
