Stakeholders Online Briefing: 7th Multi-stakeholder Science, Technology and Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals Forum

The seventh annual STI Forum will be held from 5 to 6 May 2022. The Forum will be convened by the President of ECOSOC, H.E. Mr. Collen Vixen Kelapile who has appointed two co-chairs - H.E. Mr. Kennedy Godfrey Gastorn, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Tanzania to the United Nations, and H.E. Mr. Sergiy Kyslytsya, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations. As per its mandate, the Forum will be organized by the UN interagency task team on STI for the SDGs (IATT), convened by UN-DESA and UNCTAD, and the 10-Member Group of high-level representatives appointed by the Secretary General.

The third annual Multi-stakeholder Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals (STI Forum) will be held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, on June 5 and 6, 2018.

Please note that the President of Economic and Social Council, H.E. Mrs. Marie Chatardová, has appointed the two co-chairs of 2018 STI Forum to be held on 5-6 June 2018. They are H.E. Mr. Toshiya Hoshino, Ambassador, Deputy Permanent Representative of Japan to the United Nations; and H.E. Mr. Juan Sandoval Mendiolea, Ambassador, Deputy Permanent Representative of Mexico to the United Nations.

Report on Science, Technology and Innovation Forum, 6-7 June 2016 by Ambassador Macharia Kamau

Ambassador Macharia Kamau of Kenya, Co-chair of the Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Forum briefed the high-level and political forum (HLPF) on its first meeting, at the UN in New York, on 6-7 June 2016.
