8th Asia Pacific Conference on Reproductive and Sexual Health and Rights: Calls for Papers and Posters

Call for Papers and Posters 

The Organizing Committee warmly invites you to submit abstracts on 8 APCRSHR. The topics may include the latest, state-of-the-art research, policy and programme evidence, service delivery systems, advocacy and communication efforts on the different elements of sexual and reproductive health (SRH) especially with respect to the most vulnerable populations with an emphasis on equity, inclusiveness and rights.

The selection of oral presentations and posters for presentation will be based on the quality of submissions and their relevance to the conference tracks (Track 1: Laws and Policies, Track 2: Governance and Accountability, Track 3: Financing, Track 4: SRH integrating in Health Services, and Track 5: Others).

Hi All -- Here is an explanation from Susan Alzner of UN-NGLS regarding the rationale behind the selection process of NGO delegations invited to register for the UN Summit as it relates to the number and size of NGO delegations, the list of NGO/CSO speakers at the Summit, and release of Summit side events. Unless informed otherwise, the deadline for the UN Summit registration remains Monday, 24 August 2015.

The Solutions Summit is a catalytic gathering that will take place on Sunday, September 27th, 2015 at UN Headquarters in New York City. The event is timed to follow the conclusion of the 3-day high-level UN General Assembly Summit to adopt the Post-2015 Development Agenda. The purpose of the Solutions Summit is two-fold 1) to make visible, and lift-up exceptional innovators -- technologists, engineers, scientists, and others -- who are developing solutions that address one or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 2) to catalyze a grassroots effort, where communities scout and convene resources around solution-makers...

IAEG-SDGs: Stakeholder registration open for 2nd Meeting on SDGs Indicators in Bangkok, 26-28 October 2015

Dear Colleagues,

UN DESA Statistics Division is organizing the Second Meeting of the Inter-agency and Expert Group on the Sustainable Development Goal Indicators, to be held in Bangkok, Thailand from 26-28 October 2015. The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific has graciously offered to host the meeting. The IAEG-SDGs was established by the Statistical Commission at its 46th session to develop an indicator framework for the monitoring of the goals and targets of the post-2015 development agenda at the global level, and to support its implementation.

Stop press — Final version of outcome document just released

The outcome document of the UN Summit for the adoption of the post-2015 development, has been released by the President of the General Assembly, together with a letter from the two Co-facilitators.

The date for a plenary meeting of the General Assembly to take action on a draft resolution to transmit the outcome document to the 70th session for consideration and adoption during the Summit will be made communicated in due course.
