REMINDER WEBINAR: Introduction to the MGoS engagement in the VNR process - 30 April 9:00-10:00 AM EDT

The VNR Task Group would like to invite you to participate in a webinar on MGoS´ participation in the VNRs for the HLPF 2019. 

We will introduce to you MGoS´ engagement in the VNR processes of the HLPF. Based on previous years’ experience the VNR Task Group developed a process and created a contribution template that will serve as basis for drafting collaborative statements and questions to volunteering countries. The outline of the process, timeline and contribution opportunities and the delivery of statements during the actual VNRs will be discussed during the webinar.

9th Meeting of the IAEG-SDGs – Update 3

Fiji has a 20-Year and 5-Year National Development Plan (NDP) with specific targets and policies aligned to the long-term transformation of the country. The SDG priorities, which include critical cross-cutting issues, are integrated into the NDP. The first draft for the Fiji VNR, involving consultations with line Ministries, was submitted at the beginning of 2019.

9th  Meeting of the IAEG-SDGs – Update 2

The second World Data Forum was held in Dubai in late October 2018, hosted by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority of the United Arab Emirates. It was attended by more than 2,000 participants from 100 countries. The HLG-PCCB made the final decisions on the content of the programme and developed some sessions to highlight important topics. The official outcome document was the Dubai Declaration, on the implementation of  the Cape Town Global Action Plan (CTGAP) and financing for statistics.
