4 Paragraph 89 Reports – A/RES/70/1

As we all prepare for the 2019 High-Level Political Forum, DESA would like to remind you of the reports you are invited to prepare on Major Groups and other Stakeholders’ contributions to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda as stipulated in paragraph 89 of the 2030 Agenda (A/RES/70/1).

Please find more information on the nature of these reports below:

  • Reports can be submitted on behalf of an organization, constituency, partnership, etc., and should address initiatives contributing to the implementation of the SDGs;
  • Reports are not official documents and are published on the HLPF website in their original language;
  • There is no word count for the reports and they are received and published on a rolling basis. A proposal for voluntary common guidelines for MGoS to report to the HLPF on their implementation of the 2030 Agenda can be found here. This document was produced by MGoS as the outcome of an Expert Group Meeting entitled HLPF 2016: Shaping the reporting by Major Groups and Other Stakeholders on their contribution to the implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda;
  • The reports are posted on the HLPF website under the “inputs” tab.

While we receive these reports on a rolling basis, we encourage you to submit your inputs by 1 June in order to most effectively feed into the 2019 HLPF.

Please submit the reports to hlpf@un.org and CC tomos.roberts-harry@un.org with the subject line “Paragraph 89 report by MGoS [Insert the name of your constituency/ organization]”
