Inaugural UN ECOSOC Presidential Lecture 20 May 2019

The United Nations Economic and Social Council is pleased to invite you to the Inaugural ECOSOC Presidential Lecture on 20 May 2019. This year’s theme is “Reason, Science, Humanism and Progress in Creating the Future We Want” with guest Dr. Steven Pinker. Dr. Pinker is a psychologist, Harvard professor and best-selling author of Enlightenment Now: The Case for Reason, Science, Humanism and Progress. The lecture will be chaired by Her Excellency Inga Rhonda King, President of the Economic and Social Council and moderated by Her Excellency H. Elizabeth Thompson, Permanent Representative of Barbados to the United Nations.
