The UN Statistical Division (UNSD) has conducted a comprehensive review of tier I and II indicators that lack data and/or metadata. Fifty-six have been identified that miss data and/or metadata, as follows:
Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at 7:20PM Fiji has a 20-Year and 5-Year National Development Plan (NDP) with specific targets and policies aligned to the long-term transformation of the country. The SDG priorities, which include critical cross-cutting issues, are integrated into the NDP. The first draft for the Fiji VNR, involving consultations with line Ministries, was submitted at the beginning of 2019.
Sunday, April 14, 2019 at 6:38PM The second World Data Forum was held in Dubai in late October 2018, hosted by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority of the United Arab Emirates. It was attended by more than 2,000 participants from 100 countries. The HLG-PCCB made the final decisions on the content of the programme and developed some sessions to highlight important topics. The official outcome document was the Dubai Declaration, on the implementation of the Cape Town Global Action Plan (CTGAP) and financing for statistics.

ECOSOC, Jamie Judd, Young People Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 6:37PM As many of you know, this year the High-Level Political Forum for Sustainable Development (HLPF) will meet twice – once under the auspices of ECOSOC held from July 9-18, and once under the auspices of the General Assembly, referred to as the SDG Summit, which will take place 24-25 September. Both will be held at the UNHQ in New York. A Political Declaration reflecting the outcomes of both HLPFs will be adopted by heads of state and government at the SDG Summit in September.
Monday, April 8, 2019 at 7:56AM When the Economic and Social Council’s (ECOSOC) High-level Political Forum (HLPF) convenes on 9 July this year, it will be focusing on six of the 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs). They all relate to the theme “Empowering people and ensuring inclusiveness and equality”. A Youth Forum will be convened on 7-8 April to seek the opinions of representatives from youth-led and youth-focused organisations ahead of several key meetings this year. While this year’s goals are no doubt important in a wider perspective, they hold special significance for young people, particularly those focused on education and climate change.
