Opportunities for Civil Society input

 

The deadline has now passed for applications for organizing the regional and global civil society consultations.

Civil society organizations can however respond to the Call for Papers up to 15 December 2012.

Many sexual and reproductive health NGOs have contributed papers and statements towards the development of a Civil Society Position Paper for the consultation on health in the post-2015 UN development agenda. The areas, as identified by Medicus Mundi International, the co-ordinators for Beyond 2015, correspond to one or more of the key themes (see also guiding questions and sub-questions) of the UN consultation:

1. What are the lessons learnt from the health related MDGs?

2. What is the priority health agenda for the 15 years after 2015?

3. Framing the future health goal: 
How does health fit in the post 2015 development agenda?

4. Measurement of progress towards the health goals: 
What are the best indicators and targets?

5. How to ensure a process and outcome that is relevant to the key stakeholders?
