UNSG Independent Accountability Panel 2019 Report- Humanitarian Settings Call for Evidence

Pleased to share that the UN Secretary-General's Independent Accountability Panel (IAP) has issued its annual Call for Evidence on the theme of accountability for women's, children's and adolescents' health and related rights in humanitarian settings, available in various languages at  https://iapewec.org/news/call_for_evidence-2019/

The deadline for submissions is February 11, 2019.

8th meeting of the IAEG-SDGs – UPDATE 3

Maciej Truszczynski of Denmark gave an update on the work of the High-level Group for Partnership, Coordination and Capacity-Building for statistics for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (HLG-PCCB). The Group met twice at the time of World Development Forum (WDF). The first meeting decided on the venue for the 3rdWDF. It also discussed what could be improved, including the need for concrete outcomes. There should also be stronger involvement of policy-makers and greater outreach to  stakeholders, particularly the private sector, academia and CSOs. The Group discussed how to ensure that the WDF could have a lasting impact.

EGM on HIV - Survey among Community & Civil Society in the Asia-Pacific region

For organizations in the Asia Pacific region,  I am sharing a short CSO survey designed to measure the progress towards the commitments in the Asia Pacific Regional Framework for Action on HIV and AIDS beyond 2015.  This is to complement a government survey administered by ESCAP. However, the CS survey aims for greater inclusivity and contains an additional question on gender, as well as opening the definition of key populations (the ESCAP definition is limited to MSM, sex workers, injecting drug users and transgender people).
