  • To facilitate communication, NGOs who will be attending the HLPF are asked to sign up for the NGO google group by taking the following survey here.
  • Logistical information note for participants on registration, arrival & check-in, MGoS seating arrangements, speaking arrangements, daily coordination meetings, rooms for caucus meetings, overflow rooms, webcasting, HLPF app, may be found here.
  • Detailed HLPF program (including schedule of National Voluntary Reviews) & list of side events may be found here. All HLPF meetings will be webcast.

2016 HLPF: Logistical information

We have received the following from DESA: 

As a reminder, a note containing useful logistical information about the upcoming 2016 HLPF session (11-20 July) is available here.

As you will see from the note, there will be daily morning coordination meetings for MGoS from 8:30-9:30 a.m. during the HLPF. The first morning coordination meeting will be held on Monday, 11 July, at 8:30 a.m. in conference room 4. Please note that the UN entrance at 46th street and 1st avenue will be open for MGoS as of 8 a.m. on Monday.

Call for endorsements: action agenda for youth in 2030 Agenda for HLPF2016

In preparation for the upcoming High Level Political Forum (HLPF), a number of youth-led and other organizations have prepared the attached action agenda to draw attention to the importance of young people in the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs. This action agenda will be presented and discussed during a side-event hosted by the Dutch government and a partnership between Rutgers, CHOICE for Youth and Sexuality, dance4life, Hivos, LACWHN, ARROW and IPPFAR on the 18th of July, 3 - 4.30 pm (invitation will follow soon), where government and UN-representatives will sign up to specific commitments and/or formulate their own additional commitment. [Important] Information about passes during the HLPF

If you have registered to attend the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) to be held on 11 - 20 July 2016 through the CSO net, please bear in mind that you must be in possession of a blue UN Grounds Pass issued by UN Pass and ID Office to enter the UN premises and attend the HLPF. In accordance with standard procedure for ECOSOC-accredited NGOs, each organization has a limit of 7 annual badges and 9 temporary badges that may be assigned to representatives at any given time. Those individuals already in possession of a valid blue UN Grounds Pass do not need to apply for a new pass.

12 July Global Townhall with UN Secretary-General candidates: Propose questions/Apply to attend!

A Global Townhall with candidates for UN Secretary-General will take place on 12 July in the UN General Assembly Hall from 6:00-9:00pm NY time. All candidates for UN Secretary-General presented so far have been invited to participate. This event will be broadcast live across the world by Al Jazeera media network, made available free to all broadcast media, and simultaneously streamed live on UN WebTV.

We are very pleased to share the registration form for the MGoS pre-HLPF meeting, which will take place on 10 July 9am-3pm. The full-day preparatory meeting will promote understanding of the first HLPF after the adoption of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, including the opportunities and procedures for the following 8 days. Additionally, it will be a good moment for MGoS to network, get to know other players engaged, share first experiences in the implementation efforts, as well as for identifying common ground and different perspectives...
