Zero Draft | Ministerial Declaration | HLPF 2020 

As previously shared, the first of the virtual consultations on the zero draft of the 2020 HLPF Ministerial Declaration will take place on 8 June 2020 at 3pm.  

Participation: 1 representative for each of the Major Groups and other Stakeholders (MGoS) will be invited to the meeting to represent each Group. Each MGoS Group will nominate their representative.

Oral Statements: 3 representatives will be invited to make statements on behalf of the MGoS. The nomination process will be conducted by the MGoS CM Advocacy Task Group.

Written Statements: Each MGoS Group may submit a written statement of key messages (1 page). These should be sent to desa-oisc2@un.org by 1pm on 8 June 2020. Please await further instructions from your MGoS Group.

Please note that the informal consultations will not be broadcast on UN Web TV. Notetakers should be advised that the consultations will take place under Chatham House Rule.

Please find enclosed, on behalf of the two co-facilitators of the Ministerial Declaration for the 2020 High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development,  H.E. Mr. Georgi Velikov Panayotov, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Bulgaria to the United Nations and H.E. Ms. Amal Mudallali, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Lebanon to the United Nations, a zero draft and the accompanying letter.
