Please Save the Date of the event From Global Issues to Local Priorities: The role of Cities in the Global Agenda, co-hosted by the President of the General Assembly, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), together with the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), that will take place on 19 February, from 3 to 6pm in the Trusteeship Council Chamber.
The purpose of this event is to address from the local perspective the need for multilateral solutions to tackle challenges that are global in nature and to discuss how to implement international outcomes and solutions at the local level, bearing in mind context and priorities of cities and local authorities. It will give voice to cities and sub-national governments with successful experiences in addressing food and healthy diets, well-being, sustainability of consumption and production patterns and climate challenges from a local perspective and through innovative actions.
