Measuring progress in the implementation of ICPD Beyond 2014 for Arab States Regional Review 

Attached is the list of 39 priority ICPD based SDG indicators for the Arab regional review of ICPD Beyond 2014. In addition to Goal 3 Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages and Goal 5 Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls, it covers 10 other goals as included in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The list was “based on population; their rights and welfare; so as to achieve the motto of ‘no one is left behind’.” In addition the “workshop outcome made a clear vision on the importance [of] selecting a list of priority indicators for the Arab region to reflect specific issues of the region but within the framework of the global list of indicators to which the region has committed.”
