Information - Action taken: Letter to the President of ECOSOC from the Steering Group of MGoS - ref: HLPF side-events

Dear MGoS Coordination Mechanism colleagues,

On behalf of the Steering Group, we would like to share with you a letter that has just been sent to the President of ECOSOC, with copies to Mr. Wu Hongbo, Juwang Zhu and Lotta Tahtinen.

The Steering Group considered it important to add its voice to the efforts already undertaken via an open letter and to provide additional action recommendations to improve the process regarding side-event allocation to the HLPF moving forward. 

We will keep the Coordination Mechanism informed in case we receive any response.
