2017 HLPF: Call for expert speakers from Major Groups and other stakeholders 

The 2017 High Level Political Forum (HLPF) will be held in New York from 10-19 July 2017 under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council. The theme for the session will be "Eradicating poverty and promoting prosperity in a changing world". More information is available at https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/hlpf.

Representatives of major groups and other stakeholders are invited to nominate practitioners and eminent expertsto address the various thematic round table discussions to be organized during the first 5 days of the HLPF session. The nominations will be reviewed by DSD in consultation with the MGoS HLPF Coordination Mechanism and presented to the President of the Economic and Social Council for final decision, taking into account equitable geographical distribution, gender, age, constituency and issue-based balance.
