Webinar - application process for consultative status with ECOSOC - DESA NGO

We have received the following from DESA:

We are pleased to inform you that in view of the upcoming deadline (1 June) to apply for the ECOSOC status, the NGO Branch of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) will hold an informational session about the application process.

This event will be aired online on 5 May 2017 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (New-York time) and will be conducted in English.

The webinar will provide answers to the following questions:

  • What the consultative status is and which organizations are eligible and what are its benefits.
  • Explain the application process works, from the submission to the NGO Branch until ECOSOC’s final decision.
  • The documents required to apply.

After the presentation, the floor will be open to answer questions from participants. Such questions may be raised either by chat or by requesting the floor using the “Raise my Hand” option.
