IMPORTANT: LOGISTICAL UPDATE ON HLPF

We have received the following from CIVICUS:
TO UN DESA NGO MAJOR GROUP & OTHER STAKEHOLDERS
- To facilitate communication, NGOs who will be attending the HLPF are asked to sign up for the NGO google group by taking the following survey here.
- Logistical information note for participants on registration, arrival & check-in, MGoS seating arrangements, speaking arrangements, daily coordination meetings, rooms for caucus meetings, overflow rooms, webcasting, HLPF app, may be found here.
- Detailed HLPF program (including schedule of National Voluntary Reviews) & list of side events may be found here. All HLPF meetings will be webcast.
- On Sunday 10 July, the Pass and ID Unit will be open from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. Delegations, Observers and UN entities may check in and collect their passes at the UN Pass and ID Unit, located at 320 East 45th Street, between 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. NGOs accredited to ECOSOC and on the CSD roster were invited to register for 2016 HLPF. ECOSOC NGOs can have up to 16 badges issued to their organizations, 7 annual and 9 temporary badges. All individuals who have UN grounds pass can use the UN grounds pass to enter the building. Others need to follow steps in CSO Net, by filling out dedicated form which is then approved.
- Please note that the UN entrance at 46th street and 1st avenue will be open for MGoS as of 8 a.m. on Monday.
- 8:30 am - 9:30 am daily MGoS morning coordination meetings beginning on Monday, 11 July, will take place in Conference Room 4 during the first week. On18-20 July, 8:30 am, the morning coordination meetings wlll take place at CR 2.
- The HLPF will take place in the Trusteeship Council, entrance for NGOs on the third floor. MGoS will have only 12 seats (9 MGs + 3 other stakeholders) with mics & name plates in the gallery where MGoS representatives will be permitted to make interventions during Q&A at each session. During the second week of HLPF, at the 22 national reviews, MGoS are encouraged to prepare coordinated statements in advance. The selection of MGoS representatives to ask questions during the Q&A at morning and afternoon sessions will be made each day at the MGoS daily morning meetings. Tickets will be distributed by MGoS OPs & focal points at the morning meeting for those selected to sit in the 12 seats dedicated to MGoS representatives.
- The MGoS session "From inspiration to action" will take place on Friday, 15 July, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. The MGoS program may be found pp. 11-12 in the HLPF program here.
