High-level Political Forum 2017

The dates for the 2017 session of the high-level political forum will be Monday 10 to Wednesday 19 July, with the three-day ministerial meeting taking place from Monday 17 to Wednesday 19 July.

The theme for the meeting will be Eradicating poverty and promoting prosperity in a changing world. The following goals will be reviewed, together with Goal 17. Strengthening the means of implementation and revitalize the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development, which is considered annually:

  • Goal 1. End poverty in all its forms everywhere
  • Goal 2. End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture
  • Goal 3. Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages
  • Goal 5. Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls
  • Goal 9. Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation
  • Goal 14. Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development

The following countries will present their national voluntary reports for review:

Argentina; Chile; Costs Rica; Denmark; Ethiopia; Guatemala; Italy; Jordan; Kenya; Luxembourg; Malaysia; Maldives; Monaco; Netherlands; Panama; Uruguay

Insofar as 22 countries presented reports in 2016, others may be added in the coming months.
