Summit 8: Co-chairs announced for Interactive Dialogues

In a letter dated 31 August 2015, the President of the UN General Assembly has announced the Co-chairs for the interactive dialogues. He also notes on that the dialogue on climate change has been adjusted from 26 September to 27 September 2015, at the request of the delegations of the Heads of State and Government of the Co-chairs. 

The Co-Chairs of Interactive Dialogues under the overarching theme for the dialogues "Transforming the world: realizing the post-20I5 development agenda" are: 

1. Ending poverty and hunger (25 September, 12.00 – 3.00 pm)

  •  H.E. Dr Miro Cerar, Prime Minister of Slovenia
  •  H.E. Mr Ralph Gonzalves, Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

2.  Tackling inequalities, empowering women and girls and leaving no one behind (25 September, 3.00 – 6.00 p.m.)

  • H.E. Ms Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, President of the Republic of Croatia
  • H.E. Mr Uhuru Kenyatta, President of the Republic of Kenya

3.  Fostering sustainable economic growth, transformation and promoting sustainable consumption and production (26 September, 10.00 am – 1.00 pm)

  • H.E. Mr Charles Michel, Prime Minister of Belgium
  • H.E. Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh

4.  Protecting our planet and combatting climate change (27 September, 2.00 – 5.00 pm)

  • H.E. Mr François Hollande, President of France
  • H.E. Mr Ollanta Humala, President of the Republic of Peru

5.  Building effective, accountable and inclusive institutions to achieve sustainable development (27 September, 10.00 am – 1.00 pm)

  • H.E. Ms. Park guen-hye, President ofthe Republic of Korea
  • H.E. Ms. Michelle Bachelet, President of Chile 

6 Delivering on a revitalised Global Partnership (26 September, 3.00 – 6.00 pm)

  • H.E. Mr Macky Sall, President of the Republic of Senegal
  • H.E. Mr Ahmet Davutoğlu, prime Minister of Turkey
