Fourth session of the Open Working Group opens Monday 17 June  

 

The Fourth Session of the open Working Group opens on Monday 17 June. The agenda will begin with a presentation on the report of the Secretary General’s High Level Panel of eminent persons on the post-2015 development agenda.

The first general interactive exchange of views will focus on Employment and decent work for all, social protection, youth, education and culture. 

On the afternoon of Tuesday 18 June Dr Hans Rosling, Karolinska Institute, Gapminder Foundation, will give the Keynote address for the agenda item on Health, Population Dynamics, for which the two panelists will be Dr Jeanette Vega, Managing Director, Rockefeller Foundation and Dr. Paulina K. Makinwa-Adebusoye, Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic Research. There will also be presentations on the Issues notes. UNFPA is organizing a Breakfast Side Event for the Fourth Session of the OWG, on Tuesday 18 June, 08.15 – 09.30 hours, on Youth and Adolescents in the Post2015 Agenda: Priorities, Challenges and Opportunities. See attached programme and concept note.
