Global CSO Stakeholder Meeting, Istanbul 9-10 December 2011

As the ICPD Beyond 2014 operational review process continues to move into action, the December 9-10 global CSO stakeholder meeting in Istanbul, marks a joint effort to share information and receive feedback on the ICPD Programme of Action as it stands today nearly 20 years later, while also examining the current approach of the Global Survey.

The consultation is a collaborative opportunity to address the global survey's tools and indicators framework, investigate topics for in-depth study, discuss expert group meetings, and identify thematic issues for consideration.

Because engaging youth and CSOs is a fundamental part of the ICPD Beyond 2014 agenda, the meeting is designed to gather feedback on how to best fully and effectively attract involvement. The meeting will also present an avenue to identify partners interested in leading or initiating specific activities in support of the review, including identifying capacity building needs and how to respond to these.
