Special Session on COVID-19: What happens now?

So far, however, we have not been able to find information as to the selection process for choosing which organizations will be able to participate in the general debate, time permitting, nor in the interactive dialogue.  The registration process for NGOs in consultative status also remains unclear.

As of Monday 23 November, there will only be 10 days to the Opening segment of the Special Session.

As ‘food for thought’ for those who might be invited to participate in either the general debate or in the interactive dialogue, we are proposing to put a framework up on the Google doc for organizations to make suggestions / comments under the following areas, which will be the titles of the interactive discussions:

Panel 1:          The UN System Response to COVId-19

Panel II:          The Road to a COVID-19 Vaccine – a Global Public Good

Panel III:         Resilience and Recovering Better from COVID-19

In order to make sure that the document is manageable, given the short time frame, if you wish to contribute your ideas, please adhere to the following:

1               Include your name, organization and email address

2               Make sure that you contribution is in the right section of the document

3               Keep the text to one paragraph of no more than 10 lines
