CSO Forum Update
Please see below for an update on the CSO Forum.
General Information
The CSO Forum will take place on Tuesday, 24 September 2019 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM in Conference Room 4 at UN Headquarters in New York.
Registration
Registration for the CSO Forum will open tomorrow, Thursday, 29 August 2019 at 9:00 AM (EST – New York time). It will remain open until 11:59 PM (EST – New York time) on Sunday, 8 September 2019. Applicants can access the registration form via the CSO Forum webpage. The link will also be shared with the MGoS Coordination Mechanism mailing list. Please do not wait until the deadline to register, as there will not be an extension to the deadline.
Special Event Tickets
Access to UN Headquarters will be restricted during the UNGA high-level week. All UN Grounds Passes for ECOSOC-accredited organizations will be suspended.
In order to access the UN for the CSO Forum, all representatives of civil society will require a Special Event Ticket. The Special Event Ticket will include the name of the participant, as well as the date, time and location of the event. The Special Event Ticket will only be valid from 1-hour before the event displayed on the Special Event Ticket, to 1-hour after.
The Special Event Ticket will only grant the participant access to the event which is specified on the ticket. The Special Event Ticket will not grant access to other Summits, High-Level Meetings or Fora taking place at UN Headquarters during the same period.
Please note that due to the limited number of seats, registration alone for the event will not guarantee your participation for the CSO Forum. Once an applicant has registered, that registration must be approved by the United Nations Secretariat.
Website
The SDG Summit website has been updated to include a tab for Stakeholders. Under the ‘Stakeholders’ tab, you will find a link to information about Special Events, including the CSO Forum. These webpages will be updated regularly.
