Report of the round table on Young People and the SDGs

MANY thanks for joining us at the side-event/round table on young people and the SDGs, last week during the HLPF!!

Your contributions to the discussions were very valuable. Attached you can find the narrative report of the event. On our website, we have really nice pictures, the action agenda and all the endorsements, as well as blog posts that were written during the HLPF. 

We hope to work with you in the future to ensure a real focus on and participation of young people in the implementation and follow up of the SDGs.

Note that this side-event was organized by the Right Here Right Now! Alliance, consisting of Rutgers, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hivos, CHOICE for Youth and Sexuality, Dance4life and three regional networks in the South: ARROW, IPPFAR, LACWHN. In the coming five years, this Right Here Right Now! Alliance is working in Africa (Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe and Senegal), Asia (Indonesia, Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh) and Latin-America (Bolivia, Honduras and the Caribbean), to improve SRHR of young people through advocacy and accountability. We are engaged in national, regional and international advocacy – making effective use of commitments such as the SDGs as well as human rights frameworks to advocate for national policy/legal change & implementation. Meaningful youth participation is at the core of our work with mostly youth-led and youth-serving organizations involved in our work.
