ARROW report now available

ARROW has announced that its latest publication - "Action for Sexual & Reproductive Health & Rights: Strategies for the Asia-Pacific beyond ICPD & the MDGs" the proceedings report of the meeting - Beyond ICPD and MDGs: NGOs Strategising for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in the Asia-Pacific Region is available on its website.

The report presents the key discussions, responses, and recommendations around the six priority issues identified prior to the meeting that impact the SRHR of women and young girls. These thematic areas are: Universal Access to Sexual and Reproductive Health, Poverty, Climate Change, Displacements and Migration, Food Security, and Religious Extremism. It also presents the way forward, through the Kuala Lumpur Call to Action, which makes specific demands from governments, international organisations, including the United Nations agencies, development partners, and other duty bearers; and the sub-regional and regional action plans to operationalise the call to governments and international bodies.

The meeting organised by ARROW with our partner the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) and in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), brought together 127 participants from 30 countries in the Asia and Pacific to define and discuss the comprehensive sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) agenda and chart the avenues for advocacy and effective NGO engagement leading up to 2014-2015.
