The Office for Intergovernmental Support and Coordination for Sustainable Development of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs has recently published on its website an open call for oral and written statements for the 2020 ECOSOC High Level Segment (HLS) for NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC.
The annual call for submission of written statements and requests for oral statements for this event is open until 27 April 2020 and late submissions will not be accepted.
We encourage NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC to participate by submitting written statements and/or requests for oral statements. However, please note that in light of the current concerns regarding coronavirus disease (COVID-19), oral statements might be collected and/or presented virtually.
The 2020 ECOSOC HLS will be guided by the theme of the 2020 High-level Political Forum (HLPF) on “Accelerated action and transformative pathways: realizing the decade of action and delivery for sustainable development”.
The HLS includes the three-day ministerial meeting of the High-Level Political Forum on sustainable development (HLPF), convened under the auspices of the Council. For information about the High-level Political Forum please click here.
