The final draft political declaration has been shared by the President of the UN General Assembly under silence procedure until Wednesday 26 June 2019 at 6 pm (New York time).

The text includes references to universal health coverage and quality health care;  gender equality and women’s empowerment; and to climate change, eg para 8, 10 and 11. While it emphasizes the need for “concerted action across all relevant major United Nations Conferences and Summits…”, it neither specifies the International Conference on Population and Development, nor the Beijing Fourth World Conference on Women. This emphasizes the importance of linking the outcomes of both these conferences closely with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, particularly the SDGs for their future implementation.
