Speakers include: Achim Steiner, UNDP; Federica Mogherini, European Commission (TBC); Kumi Naidoo, Amnesty International; Namhla Mniki Mangaliso, African Monitor; Jayathma Wickramanayake, UN SG Envoy on Youth and many more.

This one hour event will be designed to feel like the ‘newsroom’ for the Global Day and serve to bridge local actions with global conversations through innovative media and live interventions from key actors, partners and stakeholders gathered in New York.

The Global Day of Action was launched in 2017 and saw thousands of individuals and communities joining this worldwide mass mobilization. 700+ partners from 380 cities and 116 countries responded to the call to action. This year the Global Day coincides with the opening of the UN General Assembly, presenting a unique opportunity to amplify the actions being taken across the world and bring them to the attention of world leaders in New York.
