The draft programme for the High-level Political Forum (HLPF), to take place in New York from 9 – 19 July, is now available.

As previously, the first week will be devoted to items including the UN Secretary’s Report and Leaving no one behind: are we succeeding?, as well as discussion under the general theme “Transformation towards sustainable and resilient societies” of SDG 6 on water and sanitation; 7 on energy; SDG 11 on cities and human settlements; SDG 12 on sustainable consumption and production patterns.

The second week will focus on the High-level / Ministerial segment of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and voluntary national reviews. Increasingly countries are choosing to report individually instead of panel presentations. At the end of the week a Ministerial Declaration is scheduled for adoption.
