Regional Forum on Sustainable Development – 3 weeks to go!

We have received the following from UNECE:

In only three weeks, on 1-2 March 2018, the Regional Forum on Sustainable Development for the UNECE region will be held at the International Conference Centre Geneva (CICG). 

Are you registered? 

Registration is still open. Make sure you register through the registration link, preferably by 16 February 2018.

What will be discussed at round tables?

At the very heart of the Regional Forum are peer learning round tables with a focus on the five SDGs under in-depth review at the 2018 High-level Political Forum (HLPF).

Participants will discuss in 10 round tables:

Making universal access to water and sanitation a reality in the UNECE region (1 March, 15:00-16:30) 
Sharing water: balancing competing needs in a context of declining resource (1 March, 16:30-18:00)

Improving the efficiency of the energy system (1 March, 15:00-16:30) 
Transforming energy in support of the 2030 Agenda (1 March, 16:30-18:00)

Financing the transition to sustainable cities and communities: challenges and opportunities (1 March, 15:00-16:30) 
Promoting resilient and sustainable cities and human settlements (1 March, 16:30-18:00)

Successful approaches to delivering on Sustainable Consumption and Production by 2030 (1 March, 15:00-16:30) 
Towards a circular economy: innovation for sustainable value chains (1 March, 16:30-18:00)

Sustainable Forest Management and the SDGs (1 March, 15:00-16:30) 
Biodiversity at the heart of sustainable development 
(1 March, 16:30-18:00)

What will be discussed at side events? 

Thursday, 1 March 2018, 13:15 - 14:30

Friday, 2 March 2018, 8:30 - 9:45
