For organizations in the Asia Pacific region, I am sharing a short CSO survey designed to measure the progress towards the commitments in the Asia Pacific Regional Framework for Action on HIV and AIDS beyond 2015. This is to complement a government survey administered by ESCAP. However, the CS survey aims for greater inclusivity and contains an additional question on gender, as well as opening the definition of key populations (the ESCAP definition is limited to MSM, sex workers, injecting drug users and transgender people).
Deadline for completion of the survey is 9 November 2018. Please help us circulate it amongst colleagues and networks in Asia Pacific countries that work on SRHR and HIV with communities.
The Asia-Pacific EGM on HIV/AIDS will be held on 27 November 2018 hosted by UNESCAP, UNAIDS and its cosponsors. The purpose of the EGM is to review national progress in meeting the commitments contained in the Asia Pacific Regional Framework for Action on HIV and AIDS beyond 2015 which was adopted at the Asia Pacific Intergovernmental Meeting (IGM) on HIV and AIDS in January 2015.
In preparation for this EGM, we kindly request you to complete a short questionnaire on country progress to date. The information you provide will be summarised into a report for dissemination to governments at the EGM and will also be the basis for an Asia-Pacific civil society statement that will be read at the meeting.
