As included in our posting of 28 April, a background note has been prepared for SDG3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages. Background notes are also available for SDGs 1, 2, 5, 9 and 14.
These background notes have been prepared by the Executive Committee of Economic and Social Affairs Plus (ECESA Plus), which comprises the Economic and Social Commissions and Specialized Agencies etc. Different Agencies and bodies have contributed to the various notes, with appropriate organizations as co-leads. All the notes are available on the HLPF Sustainable Development Knowledge Platform under ‘Background documents’. They provide background information for the work of the various Expert Review Meetings to be held in May and June, as well as the deliberations in the HLPF in July.
