Civil society & social entrepreneur speakers selected

At the request of the Office of the President of the General Assembly (OPGA), UN-NGLS facilitated a process to identify civil society and social entrepreneur speakers for the High-level SDG Financing Lab, taking place 18 April at UN Headquarters. UN-NGLS facilitated a Stakeholder Selection Committee to review applications for the speaking roles and create a regionally and gender balanced short-list of candidates for the President of the General Assembly to consider.

The President of the General Assembly has now selected the following four speakers through this process: 

1) High-level Panelist for Interactive Panel Discussion on "Setting the scene - What will it take to finance the SDGs?

2) Workshop 1: Building an inclusive and peaceful future for all (SDGs 1-5, 16) 

Rokhsana Khondker

Abdul Momen Khan Memorial Foundation (Khan Foundation) - Bangladesh

3) Workshop 2: Fostering economic growth and development, building resilient infrastructure, and tackling inequality (SDGs 7-11)

Donna Katzin

Shared Interest - United States of America

4) Workshop 3: Protecting our world in the present and future (SDGs 6, 12-15)

Kaoutar Yaiche

Association Nationale de l'Environnement et des Energies Renouvelables (ANEER) - Morocco
