We have received the following from Rutgers:

In preparation for the upcoming High Level Political Forum (HLPF), a number of youth-led and other organizations have prepared the attached action agenda to draw attention to the importance of young people in the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs. This action agenda will be presented and discussed during a side-event hosted by the Dutch government and a partnership between Rutgers, CHOICE for Youth and Sexuality, dance4life, Hivos, LACWHN, ARROW and IPPFAR on the 18th of July, 3 - 4.30 pm (invitation will follow soon), where government and UN-representatives will sign up to specific commitments and/or formulate their own additional commitment. Note that we on purpose have tried to avoid some jargon and formulate very concrete commitments.

We call for your endorsements of this action agenda to push governments and the UN agencies to leave no youth behind and ensure the full and meaningful participation of young people in the implementation, monitoring and follow up of the SDGs, and particularly to invest in young people’s SRHR, employment/economic opportunities and access to quality education.

Your support for the action agenda will be very much appreciated! Please send your endorsements ASAP to r.vandam@rutgers.nl, no later than 13th of July.

We will keep you informed about the side-event and its outcomes in the coming two weeks!
