The President of the General Assembly has written to circulate a letter from the co-facilitators for the informal consultation for the resolution on follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

In their letter, the co-facilitators state that the text of the draft resolution as at 6 June “enjoys the widest possible support from Member States”.  However, it had not been possible to address the single remaining concern of the Member State that broke silence and “a solution to finding consensus on the specific issues remains elusive.”

Accordingly, the President of the General Assembly has decided “to reach out to concerned parties with a view to bringing this matter to a close by mid-next week.” He will then communicate to the membership his decision on the next steps.

The full letter is available for download.
