The Inter-Agency and Expert Group on Sustainable Development Goals will begin its second session in Bangkok with two new documents to guide its work.

The first document is Results of Questionnaire on Summary of Comments by IAEG Members, Including Indicator Groupings. This document contains the summary of the inputs by members of the IAEG on proposed indicators, based on three questions posed to them as to whether they support suggested modifications, additional indicator proposals, or whether they have strong concerns about the suggestions made. Based on their replies the indicators have been grouped under three colours:

During the meeting Members of the IAEG will only discuss the Yellow indicators, with the objective of putting them in the Green category. They will also decide a workplan for dealing with the Grey indicators.

The second document is Compilation of Metadata Received on Indicators for Global Monitoring of Sustainable Development Goals and Targets. This  is a compilation of metadata received from UN Agencies, Funds and Programmes, other UN offices and entities, Regional Commissions, and other international and regional organizations on the suggested indicators for global monitoring presented, in the Summary of comments of 25 September 2015. In using the it should be noted that information is also included in the extensive annex.
