The following email has been received from Susan Alzner, UN NGLS about the above mentioned meeting for civil society:

On Tuesday, 26 August 2014 from 1:15 – 2:30 pm at UN Headquarters in New York, H.E. John W. Ashe, the President of the 68th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, will host an interactive meeting with civil society representatives for the 11-12 September High-level Stocktaking Event on the Post-2015 Development Agenda.

This interactive meeting will provide civil society, including NGOs, the media, the private sector and other relevant stakeholders with the opportunity to reflect upon the various post-2015 development-related processes which have occurred during the current session of the General Assembly, with a view to identifying possible inputs to the Synthesis Report of the Secretary-General; to the work of the 69th session of the General Assembly; and to the elaboration of the Post-2015 Development Agenda itself.

The meeting will include an introduction to the High-level Stocktaking Event followed by an interactive discussion.

You are cordially invited to attend and join in the discussion.

If you do not possess a UN Grounds Pass and would like to attend, please send your RSVP to UN-NGLS at: info@un-ngls.org
(Please do not RSVP by replying to this email - you must write to info@un-ngls.org to receive a Special Event Ticket for this event.)
