The 66th World Health Assembly will be held in Geneva Switzerland, 20 – 28 May 2013. The agenda will include consideration of Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), such as the draft comprehensive global monitoring framework and targets for the prevention and control of NCDs; the draft action plan for their prevention and control (2013-2020); the draft comprehensive mental health action plan (2013-2020); and disability. There is also an agenda item on Promoting health through the life course that includes both monitoring the achievement of the health-related MDGs as well as health in the post-2015 development agenda.
