Thematic Consultation on Governance – Change of date of Final Consultation Meeting… Update 11 February
The date of the Final Consultation Meeting for the Thematic Consultation on Governance, to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa, has been changed to 28 February to 1 March.
The objectives for the Consultation, for which the political partners are the Governments of Germany and South African and the operational partners is the Pan-African Parliament, are:
- To contribute to a broad-based dialogue on the role of governance and accountability in the post-2015 development framework that includes civil society and other non-state actors;
- To build a shared vision and ownership of how global, regional, national and sub-national governance and accountability should be integrated within the intergovernmental process to inform on the post-2015 development agenda;
- To ensure that findings of the thematic consultation related to governance and accountability feed directly into key ongoing global processes, such as the High Level Panel and the Open Working Group, and where possible, into national consultations;
