Olav Kjørven appointed Special Adviser to the UNDP Administrator on the Post-2015 Development Agenda

Olav Kjørven has been appointed Special Adviser to the Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on the Post-2015 Development Agenda, within the Programme's Bureau for Development Policy (BDP). He will lead on UNDP's contributions to the post-2015 development agenda.

Kjørven previously served as an Assistant Secretary-General in which capacity he co-chaired the UN system's efforts to prepare for a post-2015 development framework. He has also been senior adviser to the Secretary-General on the Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL) initiative, head of UNDP's Environment and Energy Group, Norway's State Secretary for International Development, and political adviser to Norway's Minister of International Development and Human Rights.
