More information is available on the Global Youth Forum: Youth Rights at the Heart of Development, which stresses the Steering Committee for #GYF commitment to underscore the active participation of young people in development and in defining the course of development to come.

The GYF Secretariat had a very fruitful mission to Indonesia where the Indonesian government promised to lend their full support to the GYF. They were also gratified to hear that the conference venue will be the Bali Convention Centre. This state-of-the-art venue will enable them to increase the number of participants from the original 650 to 850 total participants. The Steering Committee is pleased to share that the additional 200 supported participants will be national youth participants from the largest countries in the world and countries with large percentages of young people. It is also committed to prioritising young people from minority groups including LGBTQI, young people living with disabilities, and indigenous & afrodescent youth.

The total breakdown of participants is as below:

Applications

Young people are encouraged to apply (EnglishSpanish, French). All selected youth participants within the breakdown above will be funded to attend. Costs, including visas, flights, accommodation and food, will be covered by UNFPA. Participants must already possess a passport.

Translation

The #GYF will have simultaneous translation in the six official UN languages (English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), and Russian), and informally in other languages.  Information on the ICPD Beyond 2014 website is also being translated and will soon be available in official UN languages as well.

Communication
