EuroNGOs Strategic Options for NGOs (SONGs) Part II Workshop “Advancing the SRHR agenda beyond 2014 and 2015: forging a CSOs consensus to advocate within the ICPD and MDGs review”

The EuroNGOs (European NGOs for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights) is organizing the Strategic Options for NGOs (SONGs) Part II Workshop “Advancing the SRHR agenda beyond 2014 and 2015: forging a CSOs consensus to advocate within the ICPD and MDGs review”. It will be held in Brussels, Belgium on 21-22 May 2012 and is organized and funded by the EuroNGOs and Rutgers WPF and co-hosted by the Asian-Pacific Resource & Research Centre for Women (ARROW) and the Latin American and Caribbean Women’s Health Network (LACWHN).

Building on the success of the 2010 Strategic Options for NGOs (SONGs) workshop and taking into account the many opportunities and challenges that have emerged since this event, the workshop will provide a forum for representatives of EuroNGOs members and the worldwide SRHR movement to strengthen the CSOs policy dialogue on the SRHR agenda and agree on concrete and coordinated joint actions. Its purpose is to forge a strong CSOs consensus on how to advance the SRHR agenda within the ICPD review and the post-2015 UN development framework.

This strategy workshop is conceived for representatives of the SRHR movement worldwide, as well as CSOs representatives actively engaged in the ICPD Beyond 2014, Rio+20 and MDG@15 processes and CSOs representatives from movements which can be mobilized to support SRHR. Further information can be obtained from the EuroNGOs Secretariat website page.
